- Evening Event Stud Dog Showcase
Purpose: The Stud Dog Showcase is intended to provide a hands-on opportunity for fanciers to see stud dogs available to the fancy. Entry requirements are designed to ensure an event where the foundations of the breeding standards set forth in the ASC Code of Ethics are practiced by those offering stud services.
Eligibility: Exhibitors may enter any stud dog in this event as long as the dog is qualified to compete in AKC conformation competitions and is above the age of 2. In addition, copies of current eye exams (within 1 year), hip certification (OFA or Penn Hip), a 3 or 4 generation pedigree, a photo of the dog, and a brief synopsis of the conformation and producing ability of the dog is required.
Event Procedure: There is no judge for this event, only a ring steward. The dogs will enter the ring one at a time. While the synopsis of the dog is being read over the loud speaker, the dog will be stacked and then moved around the ring at the direction of the ring steward. After all dogs have been presented individually, they will all be moved together. Dogs will then move to designated spaces in the ring. At that time a table will be brought into the ring for each dog. Fanciers will be allowed to browse form dog to dog, examining the dogs and talking with owners. After an adequate amount of time, the dogs will be moved again and the event concluded. - 12:00 AM Convention Center closes

- 10:00 AM Judges Breed Study. A seminar on judging the Cocker Spaniel will be presented by Dr. Clyde Shaw for judges and prospective judges of the breed. Ringside mentoring will also be available. Seminar cost is $20.00 per person and reservations are necessary.
